CoopDAO

A charter your members wrote, enforced by code

From "I have an idea" to "it's paid".

The life of a proposal

  1. 1DraftAmount, recipient, reason.
  2. 2RouteThe charter picks the path.
  3. 3ApproveTwo stewards sign, or members vote.
  4. 4ExecuteAny member triggers the payment.
  5. 5RecordThe ledger links payment and proposal.

One member, one vote

Token DAOs count votes by tokens held. In CoopDAO, each member wallet has exactly one vote.

Quorum (40% by default) is a line on the grid of members. Abstaining counts towards quorum, not the majority.

The committee's two-of-three signatures

Three elected stewards share a multi-signature wallet: any two of them approve expenses up to the charter's limit and admit new members. No one pays alone.

Joining and leaving

Joining takes a wallet and one refundable member share (20 tUSDC). Participation is public; it never adds weight.

Changing the charter

Any rule can change with two-thirds of the votes and half the members taking part. The history keeps every old value.

Without quorum, a proposal fails and nothing is paid.
